A Bit About Me
I've had a strong passion and interest in technology since a very young age. I have a natural curiosity for learning and am able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies. As a university student studying cybersecurity, I worked and studied very hard to achieve the best possible grade, going above and beyond what was asked of me. This was a major part of my life, it's where I established a strong and disciplined work ethic that will always be a part of who I am. One of my goals is to eventually go back to school for a Master's once I have gained considerable work experience.

I started diving deeper once I graduated from university and had to take it upon myself to continue learning. It was then that I put the time and effort into starting my own homelab and gaining new tech skills. I also invested time and effort towards learning a foundational level of programming in Python so as to become more well-rounded. That was when I began to take a liking towards coding, and that experience was what inspired me to have a goal of someday working in DevSecOps. As for now, I am actively pursuing my first professional role in the tech industry.
Experience
Internship
Homelab
School
Set up a home security lab for practice, learning to use SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, MFA, among other tools, to perform analysis of systems for vulnerabilities and risks. Created knowledge base articles containing documented setup and configuration in detail on my GitHub wiki.
In my personal homelab, I have learned to use and manage Docker containers, hosted my own media and file storage server, and used Tailscale to securely access it from anywhere. I improved my Windows/Linux abilities, understanding of networking, and also some learning in Python. I have completed my A+ certification and am preparing to pass the Security+ exam.
I graduated with a B.S. in Cybersecurity from Old Dominion University, working hard to achieve a 3.9 GPA. My education gave me solid, foundational knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, not only technical through extensive hands-on labs and projects, but also from a business perspective through information assurance projects.
